Crust Pizza Australia have a few new pizzas to kick off a new decade. The new pizza line up caterers to the vegan in the family.
New Vegan Pizzas
Pulled Jackfruit & Slaw! The topping contains smokey BBQ pulled jack fruit, caramelised onions with a BBQ sauce base. The pizza is then topped with pear, slaw & vegan garlic Aioli. With the additions of the BBQ sauce and jack fruit this pizza is very high in sugar content with 9.3g of sugar per 100g. The whole pizza is 6900 KJ and compare this to the other new ‘Scallop’ Al Fungi it is again the least healthy option.
‘Scallop’ Al Fungi: This pizza is a heart of palm special! I don’t think I have ever had Heart of Palm on a Pizza before but a Heart Of Palm salad is very tasty. The other toppings include Baby spinach, Mushrooms and EVOO with chili flakes. The chili flakes should add the flavour as those ingredients by themselves are very tasteless. With these ingredients the pizza will be healthy and it has 6560KJ with 2.5g of sugar per 100g.
New Meat Pizzas
Wagyu Prawn: Who does not love a good surf and turf! Pizza toppings include Wagyu beef, Garlic Prawns, Red Peppers, Asparagus Spears on a tomato base. The pizza is finished with Bearnaise sauce. The pizza surprisingly low on sugar with 2.6g of sugar per 100g.
